I use a lot of acronyms when typing up the deals to save time. Some may not know what these acronyms mean so I thought I would put together a list of acronyms and their meanings:
- +UP – Reward offered by Rite Aid
- AC = After coupons
- AFC – A Full Cup: Online forum
- B1G1 – Buy 1 Get 1 free
- B2G1 – Buy 2 Get 1 free
- B2G3 – Buy 2 Get 3 free
- BC – Before Coupons
- BOGO – Buy One Get One free
- CAT – Catalina: Coupons that print from machine next to register
- CRT – Customer Register Tape: Coupons that print at the bottom of your receipt
- CVS – Consumer Value Store
- DCRT – Dated Cash Register Tape
- DND – Do Not Double
- ECB – Extra Care Bucks: Earned at CVS
- FAR – Free After Rebate
- GC – Gift Card
- GDA – Good Deal Alert
- GM – General Mills: Coupon Insert
- HCW – Hot Coupon World: Online Forum
- HT – Harris Teeter
- HTH – Hope that Helps
- IP- Internet Printable
- IVC – Instant Value Coupon
- MIR – Mail In Rebate
- MM – Money Maker
- MQ – Manufacturer Coupons
- NLA – No Longer Available
- OOP – Out Of Pocket: what you pay out of your pocket
- OOS – Out Of Stock
- OYNO – On Your Next Order: usually a discount off your next shopping order
- P&G: Proctor & Gamble: Insert coupons
- POP – Proof of Purchase
- PSA – Prices Starting At
- Q’s or CPN – Coupons
- Q – Coupon
- RC – Rain Check
- RIB – Reinventing Beaty magazine: Sold at CVS
- RP – Red Plum: Insert coupons
- RR – Register Reward: Earned at Walgreens
- SCR – Single Check Rebate: Earned at Rite Aid
- SP – Stockpile
- SS – Smartsource: Insert coupons
- TMF – Try Me Free: Mail in rebate
- UPC – Universal Product Code
- V – Valassis: Coupon Insert renamed Red Plum
- WAG – Walgreen’s
- WUC – We Use Coupons: Online Forum
- WYB – When You Buy
- X/XX – Money off your total: $5 off $15, $4/$20 etc.
- YMMV – Your Mileage May Vary: meaning that the results may vary, or the offer may not be available in all areas, etc.
